Ukraine and Türkiye signed an agreement that simplifies joint trade

On March 8, during President Volodymyr Zelenskyi's visit to Istanbul, representatives of Ukraine and Türkiye signed an agreement that simplifies trade between Ukraine and Türkiye and removes business obstacles.

Besides, the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov and the Minister of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye Omer Bolat signed an intergovernmental agreement on the creation of a system of electronic exchange of preliminary information on goods and vehicles moving between the parties. The information exchange will be carried out by the State Customs Service of Ukraine and the Ministry of Trade of Türkiye.

The exchange of data between the customs authorities of the parties is intended to accelerate the movement of goods and transport across the borders of both states, as well as to combat customs offenses.
