The State Production and Consumer Service and the National Parks Council of Singapore signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of animal health. The document envisages the development of bilateral cooperation between the countries to control, prevent, eliminate and facilitate the exchange of information on outbreaks of terrestrial and aquatic animal diseases.
Within the framework of the memorandum, the parties confirmed their intention to promote the expansion of bilateral trade in terrestrial and aquatic animals, as well as their products, in accordance with the standards of the World Organization for Animal Health (WOAH). The document also provides for the exchange of information on scientific, research and technical achievements in the areas of control, prevention and elimination of animal diseases specified in WOAH standards.
