Ukraine and Poland are establishing uninterrupted supplies of agricultural products

On April 5, Mykola Solskyi, Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, held an online meeting with Henryk Kowalczyk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Republic of Poland.

During the meeting the parties discussed issues related to the establishment of uninterrupted supplies of agricultural products from Ukraine to traditional export-dependent markets, as well as the search for alternative logistics routes for transit corridors through the EU. “We are thankful to our Polish colleagues for their comprehensive support in the transit of Ukrainian agricultural products to the EU,”- the Minister said.

Besides this, the parties discussed the terms of mutual certification of animal products in the markets of both countries, and the process of notification of export goods, in order to speed up the relevant procedures at the border and transportation.

“Poland is currently working on the creation of a “Sukhyi Port” at the border, aiming at increasing the capacity of transportation for the export of Ukrainian agricultural products, in particular to third countries”, - said Mr. Henryk Kowalczyk.

The parties agreed to continue cooperating on the issues discussed, as well as on supporting the Ukrainian people in the difficult times of Russian aggression.

The issue of ending the war and ending military aggression by the Russian Federation is a top priority for Ukraine.
