Turkey gradually increases imports of Ukrainian agricultural products

According to the results of January-July 2025, Turkey imported Ukrainian agricultural products reaching $1.48 billion. This figure was 16% higher than the volume of imported products for the same period in 2024.

The volume of agricultural exports from Turkey to Ukraine is also increasing, but the volumes of supplies are less significant. Thus, in the first 7 months of 2025, goods worth a total of $296.4 million were exported to Ukraine, which is 15% more than the indicator for the same period of the previous year. The main Ukrainian products in the agricultural segment imported to Turkey were corn, soybeans, and sunflower oil. The combined share of these three products in the total volume of Ukrainian agricultural imports averaged 90% in January-July 2025, whereas for the same period in 2024, this indicator was 69%. In terms of money, the import of Ukrainian corn to Turkey for the first 7 months of 2025 reached $760.6 million, which is 2.4 times more than for the same period in 2024 ($322.9 million).

The import of soybeans during the same period increased by 1.8 times (to $255.4 million compared to $141.9 million), while the import volume of sunflower oil decreased by 18% to $319.0 million from $389.9 million, respectively.
