In August 2024, Ukraine exported goods worth more than $3,16 billion. This is 6.4% more than in July and 17.5% more than in August 2023. According to the message of the Ministry of Economy, rapeseed or colza seeds were exported the most by value - for $421.3 million, and by physical volume - ores and iron concentrates, the export of which reached 2.5 million tons.
Ukraine exported the most in August:
- rapeseed - 878,9 thousand tons for $421,3 million;
- wheat - 2,24 million tons, for $420,4 million;
- sunflower oil - 226,9 thousand tons for $203,1 million;
- corn - 774,5 thousand tons for $137.4 million;
- barley - 524,8 thousand tons for $89.7 million;
- poultry meat - 39.9 thousand tons for $89.5 million.
Exports are growing for the second month in a row thanks to the early start of harvest and improved sea logistics. In August, we increased cargo turnover by sea transport by 224,7 thousand tons, or by 3,6%, compared to July. Ukraine remains the guarantor of food security in the world. In August, Ukraine supplied foreign markets with more than 2,2 million tons of wheat for $420.4 million. After the record figures of February 2024, this is the second record figure both in terms of volume and value since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
