The company "TK-Domashnyi Textile", which is part of the group of companies "Textile-Contact" (TK Group), started a new direction for the group - the production of a wide assortment of shoes at the purchased shoe plant in Chyhyryn (Cherkasy region).
"According to this project, which was launched a month ago, we are starting a new direction for us - the production of shoes. We bought a factory with a capacity of up to 20 thousand pairs of shoes per month, which has not worked during the coronavirus epidemy, the wartime... Of course, the specifics are here own, but footwear is also a light industry, seamstresses, similar equipment. That is, they did not go to another industry," said Volodymyr Martsenyuk, managing partner of "TK-Domashnyi Textile".
Now 40 people are working at the factory. The first 2 thousand pairs of shoes were released. By mid-autumn of this year, it is planned to increase the number of employees to 100 people, and the production of shoes to 15 000 pairs per month.
"We produce children's, men's and women's shoes, from slippers to Louboutins," - Marceniuk stressed.
V. Martsenyuk also said that the group has been cooperating with UN international humanitarian missions, which form sets of textile production to hand over to IDPs and refugees in Ukraine, and they include, in particular, shoes.
"TK-Domashnyi textile" is in the highest ratings in the UN in terms of the reliability of the implementation of contracts, wins in tenders and has been cooperating with humanitarian missions since 2014.
For reference: "Textile-Contact" is the largest trade and production group on the light industry market of Ukraine, founded in 1995. Now it represents a holding uniting the entire range of textile industry services - from raw materials and fibres to ready-made solutions for B2B, B2G, B2C clients.
