Season summary: Ukraine imported more apples than it exported

Ukraine exported 16.8 thousand tons of apples worth $10.1 million, a 64% decrease in volume compared to the 2023/24 season, when exports reached approximately 47 thousand tons.

The average export price for the marketing year increased again, reaching $600 per ton. A negative trade balance was recorded, as Ukraine imported 18.2 thousand tons of apples from July 2024 to June 2025, with nearly the entire volume (18 thousand tons) imported since the beginning of the current year. The main buyers of Ukrainian apples in the completed marketing year were the UAE (2.9 thousand tons), Saudi Arabia (2.9 thousand tons), Uzbekistan (1.5 thousand tons), Turkey (1.4 thousand tons), and Sweden (0.9 thousand tons).
