As for the information of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Arab Republic of Egypt according to the Decree of the Central Bank of the Arab Republic of Egypt, starting in March 2022, Egypt introduces new money transfer rules that will require importers to use only bank letters of credit. This will not apply to:

• goods shipped by February 22, 2022;
• international companies that have branches in the Arab Republic of Egypt and import from their own company;
• deliveries in the amount of up to 5 thousand US dollars or its equivalent in another currency;
• medicines, serums and related chemicals;
• oil and gas;
• food products: tea, meat, poultry, fish, wheat, sunflower oil, milk powder, beans, lentils, butter and corn.
