President signed decrees on synchronization of sanctions with EU decisions

V. Zelenskyy signed 2 decrees by which he put into effect the decisions of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine on the synchronization of sanctions with EU decisions.

The synchronization of European Union sanctions within the framework of the 20th package covers 120 individuals and organizations and introduces economic sanctions aimed at key sectors of the Russian economy. Some of them are already under Ukrainian sanctions. The decision concerns another 16 citizens of Russia and 31 companies from the Russian Federation, Belarus, the UAE, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine.

Among the individuals are heads of Russian strategic enterprises, budgetary institutions, units of the Russian army, and entities that serve the Russian Federation in the temporarily occupied territories.

The list also includes enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex, manufacturers of electronic warfare equipment, software and components for drones, companies involved in oil, gas and gold extraction.

Sanctions have been imposed on companies from the UAE that sell machine tools and equipment for laboratories, chemical products and spare parts for commercial aircraft, as well as on an oil exporter in Belarus.

Sanction restrictions have also been applied to 19 citizens of Iran, 7 citizens of Sudan and 11 Iranian companies that operate within the framework of Iranian programs for the production of ballistic missiles and drones.
