More than 50% of Ukraine's agricultural export went to the EU last year

In 2022, Ukraine exported USD 13,1 billion US dollars of agri-food products to the EU, which is 56% of agricultural export (23,4 billion US dollars).

Especially noticeable changes in the geographical structure of export last year concerned dairy products. In 2022, the sale of dairy products to the European Union amounted to 102 million US dollars. In particular, dry and condensed milk was bought by Poland, Israel, and the Netherlands (the share of total export was 38%), butter and milk pastes - Poland, Moldova, Azerbaijan (69%), cheeses - Kazakhstan, Poland, Moldova (85%).

The main buyers of poultry meat were the Netherlands (252 million US dollars), Saudi Arabia (220 million US dollars) and Slovakia (65 million US dollars), whose joint share in the export of this commodity item was 63%. Eggs were supplied mainly to the markets of Singapore, Latvia and the Netherlands.

Honey in 2022 was traditionally sold mainly to EU markets, namely: Germany (38 million US dollars), Poland (24 million US dollars), France (11 million US dollars), which made 54% of its purchases in monetary terms.

Poland (108 million US dollars), Germany (29 million US dollars), France (20 million US dollars), Italy (19 million US dollars), the Netherlands (16 million US dollars), Austria (14 million dollars), the Czech Republic (11 million dollars) and Azerbaijan (10 million dollars) were the biggest buyers of the gardening production. In the export of frozen berries and fruits, deliveries to Poland, Germany and Italy became the biggest ones (in total  71%).
