During 2021, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the State Food and Consumer Service opened or reopened access to foreign markets for 81 groups of Ukrainian goods in 21 countries and helped more than 200 Ukrainian companies to start exporting or start working abroad.
This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba during a briefing on November 17, presenting the successes of Ukrainian diplomacy in 2021.
“We promote Ukrainian export and attract foreign investors. This is one of the key priorities of Ukraine's Foreign Policy Strategy. In 2021 the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with the State Food and Consumer Service opened or reopened access to foreign markets for 81 groups of Ukrainian goods in 21 countries”, - the minister said.
The Minister reminded that the increase in export from Ukraine and investments in our country directly affect the well-being of citizens: “The more export and investments, the more financial income into Ukraine’s economy, more new working places, higher living standards of Ukrainians”.
The Foreign Minister noted the fruitful work of the Ministry in the economic field and shared concrete quantitative results.
“This year we have worked fruitfully in the field of economic diplomacy. This is evidenced by specific figures: more than 200 Ukrainian companies have started exporting or opening offices abroad. About 100 foreign companies are already implementing or considering economically important investment projects for our country,” - the Minister said.
Dmytro Kuleba also spoke about the efforts of Ukrainian diplomats to organize and support hundreds of international events with the participation of Ukrainian companies, which is an integral part of economic diplomacy and the opening of new markets for Ukrainian companies.
“During 2021 Ukrainian companies took part in about 600 online and offline business events around the world – briefings, business missions, forums and exhibitions. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and our embassies will continue to actively help Ukrainian businesses find new partners in promising foreign markets next year,”- the Minister concluded.
