According to the results of the 2023/24 marketing year (June - July), Ukraine exported 69,86 million tons of grain and oil crops. Export of wheat amounted to 18,43 million tons, which is 9% more than in 2022/23 marketing year. Export of corn amounted to 29,41 million tons, which is 0,2% more than the previous marketing year. Barley — 2,48 million (-8.5%). Soy — 2,98 million tons and also -8,2% compared to last year. Rape — 3,7 million tons and an increase of 8,7%.
At the same time, the export of sunflower oil amounted to 6,54 million tons and growth — 22.8%, soybean meal — 0,662 million tons (+12.5%), sunflower meal — 5,15 million tons (+29,1%).
"And finally, a heartbreaking drop in exports, which is good for us. Last marketing year, we exported only 324 000 tons of sunflower. This is less by 86,3%. That is, we are returning to the situation when sunflowers are processed in Ukraine," said Taras Kachka.
International trade in goods in the first half of the year is stable compared to the first half of 2023. Exports for 6 months of this year amounted to $19.5 billion and are identical to the figure for the first half of 2023. At the same time, the capacity for physical export volumes increased by 35% and amounted to 71 million tons in half a year.
