The Ministry for Development of Economy, Trade and Agriculture of Ukraine informed the Ukrainian National News (UNN) that Ukrainian agricultural products are in demand abroad, but the dynamics of goods differ. 

Key positions in the exports of food products occupy:

• sunflower oil: during a 9-month period of this year Ukraine has exported this product worth 2,9 billion USD and this is 1,8% more in comparison with the previous year;
• oilseed residues and other solid waste and by-products received from the production of vegetable fats and oils: during a 9-month period of this year, deliveries of this type of products abroad amounted to 728 million USD and this is 22,7% more in comparison with the previous year;
• oilcake and other by-products from the production of  soybean oil – 233 million USD received from exports of these products during a 9-month period of this year and this is 119 % more in comparison with the previous year;
• cigars: this year’s exports makes 231,4 million USD, an annual increase is   3,9 %;
• soybean oil: during a 9-month period of this year Ukraine has exported this product worth 182,6 million USD and this is 56,3% more in comparison with the previous year.

Ukrainian bakery, flour and confectionary products are also in demand abroad. This year Ukraine has increased exports of these products by 7,9% (by 120 million USD).

Ukraine’s chocolate exports during the accounting period amounted to 117,4 million USD but its deliveries abroad decreased by 0,9 % in comparison with the previous year.

Ukraine has also exported a considerable amount of confectionary sugar products (111,3 million USD (+12,6% in comparison with the previous year) and rapeseed oil (102,6 million USD (+ 31.4%).

At the same time the exports of sugar made 79,3 million USD and this is 47,9% less in comparison with the previous year.

In addition to the abovementioned products production and exports of chicken meat grow. According to the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, in 2016 Ukrainian entrepreneurs produced 915,8 thousand tons of this product, and in 2018 this number was 1 million 21 thousand tons.

Talking about exports of chicken meat, in 2016 it amounted to 231,4 thousand tons and in 2018 – 318,2 thousand tons.

It is expected that the annual result of the chicken meat production and exports will show growth again.

It has to be mentioned that in the last year Ukraine received 500 million USD in foreign exchange earnings from domestic chicken exporters. 450 million USD from this amount was a share of Yuri Kosiuk's agricultural holding "Myronivskyi Khliboproduct" ("Nasha Riaba"), which is the main producer and exporter in Ukraine. The company makes 88,2% of all external poultry meat deliveries of the chicken meat to foreign markets. 

On the second and the third place in the list of main Ukrainian exporters are the group of companies “Agromars Complex” and LLC “Ptahocompleх Dniprovskyi (“Notable Chicken”).

“MHP” and “Agromars” can export their products to the EU countries.
