Joint control with Moldova: the reconstruction of the "Reni" crossing point has been completed

The reconstruction of the "Reni" crossing point has been completed, which makes it possible to implement joint customs and border control with Moldova. "Now, trucks on their way to the Romanian Port of Galați will make fewer stops for control procedures. We expect that the carrying capacity of "Reni" will increase by at least two times - up to 100 trucks will cross it per day," - said Serhiy Derkach, Deputy Minister of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure.

Except trucks, joint control will also cover buses, for which a separate lane with a terminal is provided at the checkpoint. Passengers won’t be forced to stop at the Moldovan checkpoint. All control procedures will be carried out on the Ukrainian side. This will reduce the waiting time for passengers while crossing the border.
