Last year, Ukraine reduced its exports of goods by 3% to $40.5 billion. The largest share of exports consists of agricultural and mining and metallurgical products. In the agricultural sector, Kernel is the leading exporter.
Kernel’s share in Ukraine’s total exports of goods amounts to 9.1% ($3.8 billion). In agricultural exports, the company accounts for 16% of external sales.
According to the ranking, corn exports last year decreased by 23%, or by $1.2 billion, due to a weak 2024 harvest and a shift in the harvesting campaign. The largest exporter of corn is Kernel with a share of 8%. It is followed by Louis Dreyfus (6%) and ADM (5%).
Wheat exports fell by 20% last year, or by $750 million. The reason was a decrease in physical supply volumes by nearly one third. The increase in the average export price only partially offset the decline in export revenue. In wheat exports, Kernel, with a share of 11%, also outperforms international competitors. Louis Dreyfus exported 8% of wheat last year, and Cargill – 5%.
Among the leaders in export growth in absolute terms in 2025 were also soybean and rapeseed oils: +$272 million and +$160 million respectively. The largest exporter of soybean oil is MHP with a share of 13%, and of rapeseed oil – Allseeds with a share of 15%. In sunflower oil exports, Kernel traditionally leads with a share of 21%.
Poultry meat exports increased by 13% last year. The main exporter is MHP with a share of 81%.
