The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine supported the decision to impose a full embargo on import of goods from the russian federation. From now on, no russian products would be able to be imported into Ukraine.

“Such a strong-willed step of Ukraine can serve as an example for our Western partners and will encourage them to strengthen sanctions against russia. Including the introduction of an energy embargo and the isolation of all russian banks. Such actions will be our contribution to the rendering lifeless of the russian economy and thus will contribute to our victory,“ - said First Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Economy of Ukraine Iulia Svyridenko.

According to the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, the ban on russian import will block foreign exchange earnings to russia by 6 billion US dollars annually. The budget of the aggressor country will not receive these funds, and thus will reduce its potential to finance the war.
