In October 2025, Ukraine exported around 1,65 thousand tonnes of live cattle (live weight), which is 197% more compared to September 2025, but 31% less than in October 2024.
In January-October 2025, Ukraine exported 14,94 thousand tonnes of live cattle (live weight) (+16%) worth $34,61 million (+42%). Over 10 months of 2025, the main export destinations for Ukrainian cattle were Lebanon (84%), Kazakhstan (9%), and Libya (6,4%).
In October 2025, Ukrainian exporters supplied 251 tonnes of fresh or chilled beef to foreign markets, which is almost 141% more compared to September 2025 and nearly 417 times more than in October 2024.
Exports of frozen beef from Ukraine in October 2025 amounted to 1.53 thousand tonnes, which is 30% more than in September 2025, but 29% less than in October 2024.
In January–October 2025, Ukraine exported 15.33 thousand tonnes of frozen beef (+4%) worth $64 million (+8%).
There is currently a global beef shortage, which is contributing to rising prices for meat and livestock and encouraging producers to increase export volumes.
Imports of chilled beef decreased by 13%, while imports of frozen beef fell by 55% compared to October 2024.
Ukraine’s foreign trade balance in October 2025 was positive, amounting to $12.86 million.
