Global export of fruits and berries reached $142 billion last year

The global export of fruits and berries in the world in 2023 increased by 2,4 billion US dollars, but didn’t reach the indicator of 2021.

The ranking of product positions of the fruit and berry group by export value last year included: bananas - 14,4 billion US dollars; grapes - 11.0 billion US dollars; avocados – 7,3 billion dollars; apples - 6,8 billion US dollars; durian - 6.6 billion US dollars; cashew nuts - 6.6 billion US dollars; almonds - 6.2 billion US dollars; blueberries, blueberries - 5.2 billion US dollars; oranges - 5.2 billion US dollars; cherries - 3.9 billion US dollars.

The list of the main fruit exporting countries remained unchanged, represented by the USA, Spain, Mexico, the Netherlands, Thailand, Chile, Vietnam, China, Peru and Turkey. Together, they formed 56% of the value of the supply of fruits and berries to the world market.

In 2023, Ukraine fell to 54th place in the world market due to the continued decline in exports of horticulture products.
