According to the results of 2023, Ukraine was able to increase sales of shell eggs to foreign markets to $60.8 million, which is 45% more than the previous year.

Quantitative indicators of their export also increased - 48,8 thousand tons (+81%).

The largest purchases of eggs from Ukraine last year were made by the following countries: the Netherlands — 9,3 thousand tons, Poland — 8,0 thousand tons, Singapore — 7,5 thousand tons, Latvia — 5,6 thousand tons, Israel — 4,7 thousand tons, Bulgaria — 2,5 thousand tons, the United Arab Emirates — 1,8 thousand tons, Italy — 1,7 thousand tons, the Czech Republic — 1,3 thousand tons, Greece — 1,1 thousand tons.

The key regional market for egg producers was the European Union, which brought 63% of total revenues.

There was also an expansion of the geographical structure of exports — in 2023, foreign sales included 31 countries, while in 2022, supplies were only to 21 countries. Last year, mainly European and African countries were added to the list of egg sales markets, including France, Sweden, Great Britain, Croatia, Belgium, Austria, Mauritania, Guinea-Bissau.

However, the further reduction in the export price of eggs from Ukraine, which were sold on average for 1246/ton US dollars, or 32396/26-ton US dollars a container of 26 tons, was a negative fact, the association adds.
