In 2025, Ukraine imported 725 thousand tons of fruit, indicating an increase compared to 2024 (690 thousand tons). The value of imports in 2025 amounted to $922.6 million, while in 2024 it was $804.6 million.

Dynamics of fruit imports

In 2022, the volume of imported fruit decreased by 33% compared to 2021, when imports totaled 990 thousand tons. In 2022, this figure dropped to 664 thousand tons, and in 2023 it increased again to 683 thousand tons. As for banana imports, in 2021 they amounted to 328 thousand tons, in 2022 they decreased to 195 thousand tons. In 2024, they rose to 204 thousand tons, and in 2025 reached about 224 thousand tons.

The dynamics of tropical fruit imports in recent years is also noteworthy. In 2021, Ukraine imported 39.5 thousand tons of tropical fruits, in 2022 this figure decreased to 20.4 thousand tons. In 2023, it amounted to 28.6 thousand tons, and in 2025 increased to 31.5 thousand tons. The value of tropical fruit imports in 2021 was about $71 million, and in 2025 it reached $86 million.

The analysis of fruit imports to Ukraine for 2021–2025 shows significant fluctuations in both volumes and value, which are undoubtedly associated with various factors, including the impact of the war.
