Foreign investments in Ukraine increased from 500 million US dollars in 2022 to 1,2 billion US dollars in 2023

This was announced by the head of the KSE Institute Nataliia Shapoval during the first Ukraine Business Compact (UBC) Workshop.

During the full-scale invasion, 43 global companies invested in Ukraine, including Bayer (65 million US dollars), Carlsberg (40 million US dollars) and CEMARK, which is part of the CRH group of companies (30 million US dollars). Another 12 companies announced investments in Ukraine.

At the moment, foreign companies are more actively investing in projects in the field of IT, defense and agribusiness.

Deputy Minister of Economy Volodymyr Kuzio reported that the Ministry of Economy has identified five key sectors with investment opportunities of 292 billion US dollars:

energy;

transport and logistics;

Agriculture;

"green" metallurgy;

materials crucial for energy.
