In February, Ukraine has increased the export of dairy products by 22%

In February 2024, compared to January, Ukraine has ncreased the volume of export of dairy products by 22% (according to the Association of Milk Producers).

In February 2024, Ukraine has exported 8,5 thousand tons of dairy products worth 16,6 million US dollars.

Since the beginning of the year, 15,13 thousand tons of dairy products were exported, which is 3% more compared to last year's period. Export revenue for the first two months of 2024 amounted to almost 29 million UAH, which is 14% less than last year.

The main export categories in monetary terms were: milk and condensed cream - 33%; cheeses - 23%; ice cream - 13%; butter - 12%.

In February, natural volumes of milk and cream export amounted to about 2,23 thousand tons, which is 14% less compared to January. The revenue for the delivered goods amounted to 1,42 million US dollars and increased by 18%. About 94% of the goods were exported to Moldova, 2% each to Georgia and Armenia. Also, Ukraine has increased the volume of export of milk and non-condensed cream to 4,77 thousand tons (+33%).

Ukraine increased natural volumes of milk and condensed cream export to 2,06 thousand tons (+18%). Volumes of condensed milk export increased due to growth  supplies to Moldova, Israel and even Poland (+70 tons), despite the fact that local farmers have been blocking traffic at the state border.

The export of fermented milk products (buttermilk) amounted to 311 tons in natural volumes, which is 5% more compared to January.
