Ukrainian confectionary producers significantly increased export volumes in January–September 2025. Over the 9 months, 214 thousand tons of sweet products worth $660 million were shipped abroad. Compared to the same period last year, this is 17,6% more in physical volume and 29,2% more in monetary terms.
Around 40% of confectionery products made in Ukraine are exported, and the key markets remain European countries. The largest volumes are shipped to Romania, Poland, Moldova, Germany, Latvia and Lithuania. At the same time, Ukraine mainly imports cocoa raw materials, fats, and flavourings needed for production.
In 2025 the average price of exported confectionary products amounted to $3084 per ton, which is 25% higher than in 2021.
