The NBU has increased the maximum term for the return of foreign currency proceeds from 180 to 270 days for exporters of agricultural machinery products.

The new norm comes into force on March 1. It concerns goods classified under the following codes according to the Ukrainian Classification of Goods for Foreign Economic Activity: 8424, 8428, 8432, 8716.

The increase in the maximum settlement periods will contribute to the growth of export volumes of agricultural and specialized machinery, stimulate the increase in production volumes and investment in the development of machine-building enterprises, contribute to the preservation of labor potential and the creation of new jobs, expand opportunities for mastering new sales markets and ensure an increase in foreign currency proceeds to Ukraine.

Such artificial restrictions block the export of Ukrainian goods to markets located a little further than Moldova. Or they create unnecessary problems for producers who still risked exporting to Canada, the USA, the Middle East or Africa.
