Export of fruits, nuts and berries for the first quarter of 2024 increased by 47%

In the first three months of 2024, according to data from the State Customs Service, revenue from the export of fruits, berries and nuts increased by 47% – up to 87 million US dollars. At the beginning of 2024, the exporters have got the most of revenues of walnuts (38 million US dollars), frozen berries and fruits (29 million US dollars), apples and pears (11 million US dollars).

They mention that during this time the export of agricultural food amounted to 6,5 billion US dollars, which is 4% less than in the first quarter of last year.

The Ukrainian Agricultural Export Association stresses that the absolute majority of product groups and individual products with added value in January-March 2024 have growing export indicators. The quantity and value of sales on foreign markets of meat and by-products, horticulture products, sugar, chocolate and bakery sweets, various products of fruit and vegetable processing, fresh onions and garlic, pasta products, ice cream increased. On the other hand, export of dairy products and wheat flour are now lower, and the prices of eggs and honey on foreign markets continue to reduce.
