Export of frozen cattle meat increased by 27,3% in January

In January 2023, Ukraine has exported 1,4 thousand tons of frozen cattle meat - 27,3% more than in the same period last year. This is evidenced by the data of the State Customs Service.

Export brought Ukraine 5,9 million US dollars, which is 37,2% more than in January 2023. The main buyers of Ukrainian frozen cattle meat during the first month of 2024 were China (50,3%), Azerbaijan (28,8%) and Georgia (12,5%).

The import of frozen cattle meat in January this year amounted to 252 tons - 12,5% more than in the same period of 2023. In monetary terms, Ukraine has spent 1,4 million US dollars on import since the beginning of 2024 – 68% more than in the first month of 2023. In January, Ukraine bought frozen cattle meat mainly from Lithuania (58,6%), Germany (17,7%) and Austria (15,5%).
