European Commission announces creation of “solidarity lines” that will allow to make the work of customs posts quicker and export with Ukraine

The state is working together with partners to expand opportunities for Ukrainian export, especially agricultural products. This was stated by Prime Minister Denis Shmyhal during a government meeting on May 13.

“Yesterday, the European Commission announced the creation of “solidarity lines”. These are routes that will speed up the export and operation of customs between Ukraine and the EU. To make the logistics quicker, the European Commission will also create a special platform for simplified border crossings through “solidarity lines” and recommend that EU market participants provide additional heavy trucks and other transport facilities”,- said Denis Shmyhal.

Besides, according to the Prime Minister’s words, the European Commission has already decided to conclude an agreement with Ukraine and update the map of the Trans-European Transport Network. As Denis Shmyhal noted, this will mean not only expanding opportunities for export from Ukraine, but also continuing maximum integration into European projects.
