In total, in 2023, deliveries of domestic agricultural products to the European Union amounted to 12,6 billion US dollars, i.e. only by 0,5 billion US dollars (-3,8%) is less than the 2022 record of 13,1 billion US dollars. This is the second most expensive result since the Independence of Ukraine. For several years in a row, the European Union has been the main market for the sale of a number of different agro-food products from Ukraine. In 2023, these were:
- poultry meat - 407 million US dollars (51% of the value of foreign sales of this type of agricultural products);
– eggs (39 million US dollars, 64%);
– egg products (36 million US dollars, 92%);
– honey (112 million US dollars, 93%);
– live plants, seedlings, floriculture products (3 million US dollars, 75%);
– fruits, berries, nuts (198 million US dollars, 77%);
– wheat flour (25 million US dollars, 60%);
– starch (19 million US dollars, 51%);
– sugar and sugar confectionery (487 million US dollars, 82%);
– dough products (43 million US dollars, 81%);
– bakery sweets (122 million US dollars, 57%);
– canned tomatoes (12 million US dollars, 91%);
– jams, jellies, marmalades (9 million US dollars, 69%);
– juices (84 million US dollars, 57%);
– yeast (38 million US dollars, 90%);
– ice cream (19 million US dollars, 58%),
– soft drinks (63 million US dollars, 67%);
- ethyl alcohol with a concentration of at least 80% vol. (78 million US dollars, 92%).
Therefore, in 2024, it is likely that restrictions on Ukrainian agricultural products will be maintained both by the EU as a whole and by its individual members - Poland, Slovakia, and Hungary.
