EBRD is developing a cargo insurance project on the territory of Ukraine

The EBRD is working on a project that will allow insuring goods located on the territory of Ukraine before they reach the territory where insurance from international insurance companies can be used.

Anna Lebedynets, associate director and senior banker of EBRD Agribusiness, announced this during the Agro Ukraine Summit 2024, Ukrinform reports with reference to UZA.

"Ukraine already provides insurance services for grain and ships that have already left Ukraine, there are institutions that provide insurance for investments against war risks. We have been working on insuring goods that are in storage or on the way and are in the territory of Ukraine, where there are extremely many risks. This type of insurance will stimulate trade financing," - Anna Lebedynets, Associate Director, Senior Banker of EBRD Agribusiness.
