Crop production accounts for a quarter of Ukrainian exports

In January–July 2025, Ukraine’s exports of goods reached $23.3 billion, a 3.5% decrease compared to the previous year. Imports for the same period amounted to $45.9 billion (+16.9%), resulting in a negative trade balance of $22.6 billion.

Exports of crop production in January–July of this year reached $5.86 billion (-23.1%), accounting for 25.1% of the total export volume. Grain crops generated $4.3 billion (-26.5%) in foreign currency revenue during this period. Meanwhile, exports of animal origin products (including live animals) amounted to $1.13 billion (+22.5%), representing only 4.9% of Ukraine’s exported goods.

Exports of fats and oils to foreign markets in January–July reached $3.77 billion (+8.1%), making up 16.2% of the total export share.
