In April this year Ukraine has exported 13,13 million tons of goods worth 3,355 billion US dollars. Corn became the leader in terms of volume and currency earnings. In terms of volume, export became the largest during the period of the large-scale invasion (in February 2022 - 12,8 million tons). In terms of money, Ukrainian exports are still lower than before the war, but since the beginning of the year they have remained stable at the level of more than 3 billion US dollars.
The top ten by revenue are traditional products: corn — 645 million US dollars, oil — 490 million US dollars, wheat — 319 million US dollars, ore — 265 million US dollars, meal — 109 million US dollars, poultry meat — 79 million US dollars, sugar — 57 million US dollars, rapeseed — 53 million US dollars. Also according to him, this list includes metallurgical products — semi-finished products (67 million US dollars) and rolled products (64 million US dollars).
The most interesting thing, of course, is what follows the top 10 products, because here we have more products with added value: coal - 53 million US dollars, pipes - 46 million US dollars, furniture - 38 million US dollars , insulated wires - 34 million US dollars, lumber - 34 million US dollars, barley - 33 million US dollars, soybean meal — 23 million US dollars, soybean oil — 22 million US dollars, cast iron — 21 million US dollars, cookies — 20 million US dollars, pharmaceuticals — 20 million US dollars, plywood — 19 million US dollars, honey — 17 million US dollars, juices — 17 million US dollars, candy — 15 million US dollars, chocolate — 15 million US dollars, carpentry — 14 million US dollars wheelsets — 13 million US dollars, electricity — 13 million US dollars, hot-rolled bars — 11 million US dollars.
Transportation by sea transport increased by 14,5% and reached 9,6 million tons. Railway transport is stable - 2,6 million tons. Exports by automobile transport increased slightly - 806 thousand tons (+3,8%).
Geographically, exports are dominated by the EU, where 1,8 billion US dollars worth of goods were sent. Most of the exports went to such EU countries as Poland, Spain, the Netherlands, and Germany.
Outside the EU, most exports went to China — 368 million US dollars, Turkey — 264 million US dollars, Egypt — 153 million US dollars, and India — 80 million US dollars.
Import in April amounted to 5,55 billion US dollars. The top 5 items of import are oil products, cars, medicines, plant protection products and drones. This is all that we need for the functioning of the economy and for the front.
