The report says that there is a demand for granulated meal on the market. The Chinese importers who are interested in this type of product offer prices just above 200 USD per ton (FOB), while the exporters’ to China proposals exceed 210 USD per ton.

 Ukrainian traders say that there is no information about the intention to sign agreements. At the same time, the prices for this type of product haven’t exceeded 195-200 USD per ton (FOB Оdessa) for several weeks. This situation is caused by the low demand for sunflower meal and high competition with Russian products of the same type.

The traders also comment the situation on the Ukrainian market of granulated sunflower meal and say that it is now characterized by low activity. There is almost no consumer demand for this type of product, the closest importers are buying the meal mainly from Russia, some buyers have taken a wait-and-see attitude.
