In May 2026, Ukraine exported over 119 thousand tons of sunflower meal, with China traditionally acting as the leader among buyers. The largest share of Ukrainian supplies falls on this Asian market, which emphasizes the importance of cooperation between the countries in the field of agro-industrial exports.

According to the South-Eastern Interregional Main Department of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection, demand for Ukrainian sunflower meal remains stably high. In addition to China, Ukrainian companies are expanding the geography of sales: in May, shipments of almost 23 tons of meal to Finland were recorded.
