In 2023, Cherkasy region received 88% of all foreign exchange earnings from the sale of agricultural products.

According to the results of 2023, the agricultural production index was 111,1%. In 2023, the region received 88,0% of all foreign exchange earnings from the foreign trade turnover of food products and agricultural products, the volume of exports amounted to more than 1,0 billion US dollars.

More than a third of products of plant origin, live animals, products of animal origin, as well as 11,0% of fats and oils of animal or vegetable origin were exported to EU countries.

Considering that the EU approved the decision to extend export of goods to EU countries without quotas and duties until June 5, 2025 Cherkasy region will be able to increase the export of agricultural products to Europe further on.
