Another Polish port has started transshipment of Ukrainian grain

The small Polish seaport of Kolobrzeg, located on the coast of the Baltic Sea between Świnoujście and Gdynia, renewed transshipment of Ukrainian grain in the third quarter of 2023.

According to the given data, the Polish port handled more than 73 000 tons of cargo in July-September compared to 48 000 tons in the same period of 2022. Accordingly, transshipment volumes increased by 52%.

Timber, limestone, fertilizers, crushed stone are transshipped in the port. But more than half of all volumes for the reporting period were grain cargoes. They influenced the growth of transshipment. In particular, it is about corn and barley, the processing of which resumed in July.
