Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine, which correspond to the EU Customs Code and the Convention on the Common Transit Procedure, have been adopted

On August 15, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law of Ukraine "On Amendments to the Customs Code of Ukraine and other legislative acts of Ukraine regarding certain issues of implementation of Chapter 5 of Section IV of the Association Agreement between Ukraine, on the one hand, and the European Union, the European Atomic Energy Community and their states -members, on the other hand."

The adopted Law brings the provisions of the Customs Code of Ukraine in line with European legislation, in particular, with regard to transit, temporary storage, guarantees, introduces the European system of decision-making by customs authorities, the "right to be heard", the procedure for considering complaints and their administrative appeal, the procedure for final use, introduces the possibility to use simplifications for enterprises with negative net assets and reduced solvency indicators for the "stable financial condition" criterion. Among the innovations of the adopted Law, in particular, there is a procedure for final use.
