According to the results of 2023, the volume of poultry meat export increased by 3% to 425 000 tons. However, the cost of its sale reduced by 6% and amounted to 800 million US dollars. As a whole, last year Ukraine reduced its turnover from the export of meat and offal by 4% — to 892 million US dollars.

In 2023, the geographical diversification of sales of meat and by-products of Ukrainian production continued. A characteristic feature of 2023 was changes in the ranking of key importers of Ukrainian meat, as a result of which African countries disappeared from this list.

In 2023, the Netherlands bought about a third (29,4%) of meat export from Ukraine in the amount of 262 million US dollars. Saudi Arabia retained the second place with a share of 15,6%. This Middle Eastern country buys exclusively poultry meat from Ukraine. Last year the volume of supplies of Ukrainian meat to its market amounted to 69 thousand tons worth 139 million US dollars. Significant are also the shares of Slovakia (11,7%), China (5,6%), Turkey (3,4%), the UAE (3,4%), Azerbaijan (3,4%) and Moldova (3,1%).
