The majority of the export was sent to Bulgaria. According to the results of 2023, Ukrainian metallurgical companies reduced the export of semi-finished products by 36,7% compared to 2022 - to 1,203 million tons.

The revenue of domestic enterprises from the export of semi-finished products last year reduced by 48,9% compared to 2022 - to 608,52 million US dollars.

In December 2023, Ukraine has exported 98,72 thousand tons of semi-finished products, which is 40,7% more compared to the previous month, and 31,4% more. Export revenue for the month increased by 42,7% and 5,9%. The average monthly export volume of semi-finished products for the year was 100,3 thousand tons against 158,3 thousand tons in 2022.

The largest consumer of semi-finished products of Ukrainian production in 2023 was Bulgaria - 36,7% in monetary terms. 23,01% of export shipments were to Poland and 9,6% to Italy.
