During January - April 2023, Ukraine imported goods in the amount of 20,3 billion US dollars, and exported goods in the amount of 13,3 billion US dollars. The countries from which the most goods were imported to Ukraine: China — 3,2 billion US dollars, Poland — 2,1 billion US dollars, and Turkey — 1,5 billion  US dollars.

Ukraine exported the most to Poland — 1,9 billion US dollars, Romania — 1,33 billion US dollars, and China — 1,3 billionUS dollars. In the total volume of goods imported in January-April 2023, the following categories of goods accounted for 69%:

• machines, equipment and transport — 5,8 billion US dollars
• 37,2 billion UAH were paid to the budget during customs clearance of the specified goods, which is 28% of the revenues of customs payments;
• fuel and energy products — 4,5 billion US dollars
• 28,2 billion UAH were paid to the budget during customs clearance of the specified goods, which is 21% of the revenues of customs payments;
• products of the chemical industry — 3,8 billion US dollars
• 26,1 billion UAH were paid to the budget during the customs clearance of the specified goods, which is 20% of the revenues of customs payments.

The three most exported goods from Ukraine included:

• food products — 8,5 billion US dollars
• metals and items from them — 1,3 billion US dollars
• machines, equipment and transport — 1 billion US dollars.
