The press service of the government department reported that in 2020 the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection within the framework of the World Bank’s program starts to implement a project on issuing international export veterinary certificates.
Olha Shevchenko, the Acting Head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection has explained that this decision will allow business to save time and money while obtaining these documents. She has added that it often happens when loaded trucks can’t cross the border because of some technical mistakes in the documents. Moreover, some countries require the translation of the certificates into their language. This leads to additional expenses and creates some obstacles for business.
She has also mentioned that starting from the next year all the international veterinary documents will be issued with the help of electronic system. There will also be a function of translation into different languages for the countries where it is required.
Ihor Klymenko, the director of the state enterprise “Agency on Identification and Registration of Animals” has also informed that the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection has other plans regarding digitalization.
