Ukraine Will Export Dairy Products to Oman

The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the competent body of the Sultanate of Oman have agreed on the requirements for exporting Ukrainian dairy products.

It has been reported by the press service of the State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.

The statement says: “Ukraine has expended the domestic market for dairy products to the countries of the Persian Gulf. The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection and the competent body of the Sultanate of Oman have agreed on the requirements for exporting Ukrainian dairy products to the Sultanate of Oman”.

It has been mentioned that work on promoting Ukrainian dairy products to markets of other countries of the Persian Gulf continues.

It has been reported that according to the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine in 2018 export of milk and dairy products amounted to 263 million US dollars. 48,8 % of which comes from export of butter, 22,4% - from milk powder and condensed milk and 11,7% - from different kinds of cheese.

According to preliminary estimates of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food, in 2018 dairy products worth 57 billion UAH were sold in Ukraine, more than 7 billion UAH of which were received from export. For the first time in the recent years Ukraine is among ten world leaders in exporting dairy products.
