The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has raised its forecast for wheat production in Ukraine for the 2026/27 marketing year.

Ukraine’s wheat harvest is now expected to reach 24 million tonnes, which is 0.5 million tonnes higher than last month’s forecast.

Ukrainian wheat exports for the current season are projected at 13.5 million tonnes (+0.5 million tonnes).

Forecasts for corn in Ukraine remain unchanged – 30 million tonnes of production and 23 million tonnes of exports.

Barley forecasts also stayed at last month’s level: production up to 5.5 million tonnes and exports up to 2.3 million tonnes.

The USDA forecasts global wheat production this season at 820 million tonnes (almost unchanged) and world wheat exports at 214.46 million tonnes (+0.1 million tonnes).

Global corn production is expected to reach 1,297.1 million tonnes (-3.3 million tonnes), while corn exports are forecast at 212.5 million tonnes (+4.2 million tonnes).

World barley production is projected at 155 million tonnes (+0.15 million tonnes), with trade expected at nearly 29.6 million tonnes (-0.2 million tonnes).
