The subsidiary of JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia” – UZ Cargo Poland – carried out the handover of a record freight train through the border crossing with Poland.

On 15 August, UZ Cargo Poland, in cooperation with LTG Cargo Polska, PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. and JSC “Ukrzaliznytsia”, for the first time organised the transfer of a 1,435 mm gauge train consisting of 64 tank cars through the international railway crossing Dorohusk – Yahodyn.

Organising the transfer of trains of this format makes it possible to use the capacity of the Dorohusk – Yahodyn border crossing more efficiently, reduce the impact of technological limitations, and create additional opportunities for increasing cargo flows between Ukraine and the EU.

For UZ Cargo Poland, this is a practical example of how international cooperation can turn complex logistics challenges into new opportunities for the railway.
