Ukraine, after an unsuccessful 2024/25 season, is again increasing apple exports and significantly reducing imports.

In the 2024/25 season, Ukraine exported about 16.8 thousand tons of apples, while imports amounted to 18.2 thousand tons. In contrast, for the period from July 2025 to April 2026, exports exceeded 22 thousand tons, and imports decreased to approximately 5.5 thousand tons. Ukraine has once again become a net exporter of apples.

The main buyers of Ukrainian apples remain the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan, Turkey, and Sweden. At the same time, the expert notes that producers are now increasingly viewing exports not as a way to obtain a higher price, but as a tool for sales diversification and reducing commercial risks.
