Ukraine exported snails worth $2.4 million in the first half of the year

In January–June 2026, Ukraine exported 480 tonnes of molluscs, which is 3.8% less than in the same period of the previous year.

In monetary terms, exports decreased by 11.1% compared with the first half of 2025, to $2.4 million.

The main buyers of domestic molluscs during the six months of 2026 were Spain (35.1%), Lithuania (34%) and Romania (26.4%).

At the same time, imports of molluscs declined by 12% against the figure for January–June of last year, to 2.2 thousand tonnes.

The largest suppliers of molluscs to the domestic market during the reporting period were China (31.5%), Peru (23.8%) and France (15.3%).
