In September-June of the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine exported a record 1.3 million tons of soybean meal compared to 1.1 million tons in the same period of 2024/25 MY and 590 thousand tons in 2023/24 MY.

The EU remains the key driver of the development of domestic soybean processing in Ukraine. Despite the decrease in the EU’s share in total soybean meal exports, the physical volumes of shipments in this direction continue to grow.

According to the results of September-June 2025/26 MY, EU countries accounted for 77% of all external supplies compared to 83% in the same period of 2024/25 MY and 88% in 2023/24 MY.

At the same time, supplies of Ukrainian meal to the Middle East countries, primarily Turkey and Georgia, are increasing, but their further growth is constrained by tough price competition with South American suppliers.
