From 10 August until the end of 2026, a new regime providing a 50% discount on transit rail transportation of Ukrainian cargoes is in effect.

The agreements were reached following a recent conversation with the Prime Minister of Moldova, Vasile Tofan.

In addition, from 17 August, by mutual agreement between the two countries, the route of the Kyiv–Chișinău train is being changed.
