From 29 July, Turkey has permitted the export of milling wheat, lifting the ban that had been in effect since March 2025. This was announced by the Turkish Grain Board (TMO).

The decision was based on sufficient supply of the domestic market. It was taken after an assessment of production volumes, available stocks and domestic consumption needs.

At the same time, exports will not be completely free. Each export application will be reviewed by a special commission, which will take into account the current state of domestic supply in order to maintain a controlled and balanced nature of trade.

Thus, exports of milling wheat will be carried out only after approval by the commission, enabling the Turkish authorities to promptly regulate supply volumes if necessary.
