In the first half of 2026, the share of agri-food products amounted to 60% of Ukraine’s total exports, traditionally retaining the leading position in its commodity structure. This is 3 percentage points higher than the figure for the corresponding period of 2025.

A characteristic feature of January–June 2026 for the domestic agricultural sector of the economy was once again a fairly high volume of exports of agricultural products with higher added value, namely finished food products, flour, malt, starch, dairy and egg products, etc. Their share accounted for approximately 19% of all shipments of Ukrainian agricultural products abroad.

According to the results of the first six months of 2026, Ukraine’s foreign trade turnover in agri-food products (groups 1–24 of the UKTZED, as well as casein, albumins, hides, furs, wool, etc.) amounted to USD 17,296 million (+10% compared with the first half of 2025), including exports of USD 12,592 million (+11%) and imports of USD 4,704 million (+8%).

As a result of the simultaneous increase in exports and imports of products of the food and processing industry, the positive balance of Ukraine’s agricultural trade rose to USD 7,888 million.
