Ukrainian farmers continue to actively modernize their machinery fleet: during the first five months of the year, the total value of imported tractors reached USD 360 million, reflecting modest but steady growth compared to the same period last year.
This figure is 1.2% higher than during the corresponding period last year. In May, tractor imports totaled USD 65.5 million, up 9% compared to May of the previous year, but down 21.6% from April of the current year.
The largest suppliers of tractors were Germany, the United States, and China. Germany supplied tractors worth USD 71.4 million (19.8% of total imports), the United States – USD 71.3 million (19.1%), and China – USD 66.6 million (18.6%).
Alongside imports, exports of domestically produced tractors are also increasing. Belgium was the largest buyer of Ukrainian tractors, accounting for more than 26% of total exports.
